LEAFLA is developing hybrid sensing systems that combine passive wireless identification with ultra-low-power event monitoring, nonvolatile memory, and ambient energy harvesting.

LEAFLA Sentinel is currently in research and technical validation. No commercial product or partnership is implied.

LEAFLA SENTINEL

Detect. Remember. Retrieve.

Passive identification

Keep the simplicity and reach of RFID-based asset identification.

Autonomous event monitoring

Use harvested energy to watch for important events when no reader is present.

Event history

Retain meaningful information for later retrieval instead of only reporting the present moment.

WHY LEAFLA

Make passive sensing useful when nobody is watching.

Our first technical objective is intentionally narrow: prove that a tag can detect an event outside reader coverage, retain that event without a disposable battery, and make it available when interrogated later.

01Harvest

Capture small amounts of environmental energy.

02Detect

Wake only when a meaningful event occurs.

03Store

Write concise event data to nonvolatile memory.

04Retrieve

Read the asset identity, present condition, and stored history later.

ABOUT LEAFLA

Building toward sensing systems that require less maintenance.

LEAFLA is a Hawaiʻi-based early-stage technology company focused on energy-autonomous sensing. We are currently validating a hybrid approach that combines passive wireless identification with ultra-low-power event monitoring, memory, and energy harvested from the surrounding environment.

Our first objective is simple: prove that an important physical event can be detected outside reader coverage, retained without a disposable battery, and made available when the asset is read later.
